Love this product

I totally love this sunscreen. It is SPF 50 which suits me the best. The best thing about this product is that it doesn’t leave a white cast on the face. It has a gel consistency which doesn’t feel sticky or oily on the face after application. You should definitely go for this product without thinking twice.

Worthy sunscreen

For the price you pay, you get decent quantity (100 gms) and decent protection. It's leaves a satin matte finish on my ardent oily skin, which is still a success. It doesn't pills either. The consistency is like a thick water cream rather than a thick emollient based cream. Give this a try indeed.

Who should use sunscreen?

Everyone! Anyone above the age of 6 months can use sunscreen. Irrespective of the fact that you are stepping out or not, you can get tanned easily; UV rays can harm you skin by damaging it. Infants under 6 months have highly sensitive skin, thus you should use other preventive measures for them.

What is the SPF and the difference between SPF 15, 30 and 50?

SPF means sun protecting factor and it measures how well and for how long the sunscreen will protect your skin. The simple way to understand this factor (15, 30 & 50) would be to analyse your surroundings and conditions. Without sunscreen you would have no protection whatsoever on the other hand SPF 15 will provide 15 times more protection. SPF 15 blocks 93% of UVB rays, SPF 30 blocks 97% of UVB rays and SPF 50 blocks 98% of UVB rays. So in order to decide what kind of SPF you should use, you would have to analyse how harsh the weather conditions would be.

Why would SPF 50 be a better fit for Indian climatic condition?

In India, summers last longer and the weather conditions are harsh. This makes the need for a rather stronger and more protective sunscreen. SPF 50 blocks 98% of UVB rays. Thus it can take the sun’s wrath for a comparatively longer time. So SPF 15 or 30 would be better fit for people living in European nations but for Asian countries with extreme climatic conditions, SPF 50 is a better fit.

Is sunscreen only meant for tanning?

Sunscreen does a lot more than protect against superficial tanning. It prevents premature ageing, sunburns, darkening and reduces the chance of skin cancer in the long run. Hence, you should wear it not just during summers but all year round, even when you are not stepping out.

When should you use sunscreen?

Satthwa Sun Protect should be applied 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapplied every two hours or after sweating or swimming. It should also cover all exposed parts of the body to prevent sunburn. Apply Sun Protect to cover all exposed parts.

Can Satthwa Sun Protect cause an acne breakout?

Sun Protect is water based sunscreen so it doesn’t trigger acne prone or oily skin to breakout. The breakouts are not due to active ingredients but mainly due to other ingredients in the sunscreen such as preservatives, fragrances, and emollients. Satthwa Sun protect is a culmination of natural ingredients, hence is very less likely to cause breakout.

How To Use

How To Apply Sun Protect SPF 50

Wash your face, pat it dry. Take a little dab of Satthwa Sun Protect and apply it on your face, neck, arms and all exposed area. Apply at least 10 minutes before stepping out in the sun. Reapply every few hours if you are outdoors. Reapply after swimming or sweating.
