Skincare becomes the most important during the festival season. Considering Diwali is just around the corner, here’s what you need to have for a Diwali ready skincare.

October is here. It’s that time of the year when we are prepping for the festive season. Festival of lights- Diwali needs clothes, makeup, sweets, and more. Often in the hustle and bustle, we forget about our skin. It is not something that you can add to the cart from any shopping portal. Let’s make sure that your skin looks youthful and glowing as everything else this Diwali. Let’s jump straight to the Diwali ready skincare.

1. Cleanse your skin

No skincare routine can go without cleaning your face thoroughly. Make it a habit to wash your face twice a day. Use a gentle face wash to remove all the impurities. Make sure you look at its ingredients carefully. If you find sulfates and parabens, then immediately ditch them. Ingredients like jojoba and peach can make your skin glow without drying it off.

2. Sun protection

One of the most important beauty tips is to apply SPF every day. Harmful rays of the sun can make your skin saggy and dull. You may experience burning, wrinkles, and fine lines too soon. Always carry sunscreen with you and reapply every 4-5 hours. Go for an SPF greater than 40. They work like a miracle on the skin.

3. Seal the moisture

Daily moisturizing is necessary for healthy and supple skin. Diwali means a lot of pollution and sun rays. And thus, the need for hydration rises. Regain your lost nourishment with soothing restorative body milk. Look for the components like shea butter, argan oil, tea tree oil, and aloe vera. All these do wonder for the skin.

4. Coconut oil for dry lips

Since the season is pivoting and winter is coming, you can feel your lips cracked and dry. Unlike your skin, your lips do not have natural oil-producing glands. And hence, requires proper care and external oil to lock in moisture. We recommend you rub coconut oil daily.

Coconut oil has amazing moisturizing properties. It hydrates the lips and keeps them soft. Pour two drops of coconut oil into your palm and gently massage it on your lips.

5. Pore tightening serum

If you want to improve your pores and pigmentation, then Bakuchiol serum is a sure short formula. Bakuchiol is a plant-based alternative to harsh retinol. It improves complexion, skin tone, and wrinkles. Gently pat the serum at night and massage in a circular motion.

6. Remove makeup with jojoba oil

Makeup is a keen part of any traditional look. However, removing the makeup with any ordinary remover can strip off your nourishment. This is where jojoba oil comes into the picture. Jojoba oil is a nourishing and enriching oil that is rich in vitamin E and vitamin B. It also has pore tightening, tone enhancing, and antimicrobial qualities. Apply a few drops on a cotton pad and wipe off your makeup.
