How To Apply Tea Tree Oil
Tea Tree oil has various uses and the application depends on the usages. Most commonly Tea Tree oil is used for acne (pimples) & on dandruff.
Since essential oils are highly concentrated, it's best to dilute them with a carrier oil for best results. Carrier oil mix well with essential oils and helps take them within the skin.
Can Tea Tree oil be directly applied to the skin?
Never ingest or apply tea tree oil directly to the skin. Essential oils are highly concentrated so they must always be diluted before applying topically. Mix 5-6 drops of tea tree oil with carrier oils like Jojoba oil, Coconut oil or Almond oil and apply on acne for spot treatment. Alternatively, you can also mix the oil with cream, rose water and aloe vera gel.
Does Tea Tree oil work for acne scars and dark spots on face?
Unlike pimples acne scars form deep within the skin and these marks deepen with age and sun exposure. The antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of tea tree oil combat these effects and help prevent acne lesions, while also reducing inflammatory acne. For scar treatment, mix coconut oil with 2-3 drops of tea tree oil and apply directly on scars. Wash it in the morning and see the result!
