Beard Dandruff

Dandruff is a very common skin condition that affects the scalp of your hair causing severe skin flaking and itching. It might be sticky or can be seen as white powder falling on your shoulders every time you touch your hair. It is reported that in most cases dandruff is also seen in beard and eyebrows that leads to constant itch and redness followed by skin flaking.

But, there is an effective solution to help you get rid of this problem. Following the steps given below will effectively reduce the dead skin cells that cause dandruff plus controlling the extra oil to prevent further formation of new flakes.

Step 1 Exfoliation

Take 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and honey and add 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil to it. Mix the ingredients well into a thick paste and massage gently scrub the beard area. This process will evenly distribute the skin oils underneath your beard, hence making your beard hair softer and easily manageable.

Step 2 Wash your beard hair

Just as you wash your hair, it is important to wash your beard to keep it clean. although you can use the same shampoo you use on your hair, it is effectively advised to use a shampoo that has antifungal properties designed to treat dandruff. You can use Satthwa anti dandruff shampoo suitable for all hair types. Using lukewarm water, wash and rinse your beard hair and let it naturally dry. This can also be done for your eyebrows but avoid contact with eyes while shampooing.

Step 3 Hydration

This is the most crucial step after shampooing which prevents dryness and hence production of excess oils from glands. For this use Satthwa’s non comedogenic beard oil with multiple benefits. Take 3-4 drops of oil or as per required and massage evenly on your beard. Make sure it reaches the skin beneath the hair so that it gets enough nourishment. you will definitely observe the results within a few weeks.

But remember that even after getting rid of your beardruff, keep up with this routine to prevent it from happening again. Also, during winters, rehydrate your skin to keep dryness under control. Alternatively, you can also mix few drops of tea tree essential oil in any lotion or aloe vera gel and apply on your beard and eyebrows. You can stop using this once you see reduction in flakes and irritation.

So, this was a basic and pretty easy daily routine which is a must follow if you looking forward to a clean, healthy and attractive beard.
