Acne can be due to a variety of factors including excess oil, clogged pores, bacteria, hormonal imbalance and many more. Notice that the list doesn’t include human contact! A lot of people skip moisturizing and focus way more on drying their pimples out. However, the fact is every skin type, no matter how much oily or dry it is, needs moisturizing to keep a healthy balance. If you are skipping out on moisturizer, your skin tries to balance itself out by increasing oil production which results in more break out. If you are worried about keeping your pores clear, just be sure to buy a moisturizer that is labeled as non-comedogenic, this means that it will take care of your skin without affecting the pores.
